In the Life of a Shumaker

  It has been awhile since I have been apart of any sort of "social network".  I have decided that it has been too long so I have created a blog for family and friends to share what has been going on in my life.  Currently I am living in Yuma, Arizona working at Yuma Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.  Anyone who knows me would have thought I would be with the babies in the NICU, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  The adrenaline rush I get from the Glamis ATV accidents to the patients on the toilets going into cardiac arrest in the bathroom and having to run a code right there on the bathroom floor.  There are not many people that can say they look forward to going to work each and every day, but I can.
  For all of you that don't know, I do have a boyfriend!  Ryan and I met up in Flagstaff while going to nursing school at NAU and we have been best friends ever since.  He too works at YRMC in the Emergency Department.  It is so nice to be able to come home from a rough 13 hour day and have your significant other know exactly what your day was like. 
  This past weekend we met up with our Dads and step mothers and headed to Las Vegas for the Superbowl.  I have been a huge Steelers fan since I can remember, and although I was not happy with the outcome of the game we still had a great time.
